The death of a person for people around him is often incomprehensible, scary, painful. And how to reconcile with the fact that a close relative or friend who has been with you throughout your life suddenly disappears from the face of the Earth forever?

First of all, it is worth remembering that everything in this world is undergoing certain stages of development: birth, growth, maturity, aging, death. Moreover, this applies not only to people and animals, but also to objects of inanimate nature: stars, states, civilizations, etc. Nothing in this world lasts forever, so the universe is arranged.

Think for a moment that in a hundred years, none of the living will no longer be on Earth. Only units will remain - the so-called centenarians. Considering the event on a planetary scale, we can conclude that we all will die sooner or later, each person has his own period of stay on Earth measured out.

If you are a believer, it will be easier for you to understand and survive the death of a loved one, because faith gives hope. According to the Bible, all of us are waiting for the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of all the dead and the Last Judgment. The righteous will remain in the kingdom of heaven; the fiery hyena will forever swallow sinners. This is approximately how Orthodoxy predicts the future of all Christians.

In the meantime, while waiting for events predicted by the books of the Holy Scriptures, visit the temple, order memorial prayers, place candles at the peace of the soul of the deceased servant of God, communicate with the priest - all this will help you dull the pain of loss.

There are other religions other than Orthodoxy, in which people also hope for the possibility of life after death. For example, in Buddhism, people believe in a chain of rebirths after death and in enlightenment, which becomes the apogee of a person’s spiritual and personal development. An enlightened person in Buddhism is an individual who is in complete harmony with nature and the Universe and receives skills beyond the control of an ordinary person, up to immortality.

The essence of death, its meaning in many respects still remains a mystery to most people living on Earth. If from the standpoint of physiology everything is more or less clear, then the questions about the existence of the soul still remain open.

The day of death is still a mournful memorable date for those close to the departed person, but who knows, maybe someday humanity will reveal this secret, and this event will take on a completely different, more conscious assessment.
