Relaxing and taking life easy is the most common piece of advice given in stressful situations. Unfortunately, counselors rarely leave a recipe for how to achieve harmony in the soul. Perhaps they believe that replacing the mentality is not much different from replacing a burnt out bulb. In fact, this is a lengthy process that stretches for at least two years.

Internal conflicts, stressful periods of life and overcoming situations that seem unsolvable push the person to psychological changes. When a critical mass of troubles is accumulated, the process of personality change begins. This raises the question of who to focus on? It is this moment when a person mentally, verbally or in writing speaks out his need to look at life easier, and is the starting point for a small revolution inside a single head.

There are several models, following which a person acquires a philosophical view of the world. You can accept a certain system of views and at the same time find your social capsule - like-minded people. For example, accept the doctrine of karma and go to a yoga school or become interested in Tao and enroll in a martial arts club. It should be remembered that on the basis of ancient teachings there are organizations with a dubious reputation and a very clear desire to pump money out of the clientele. Therefore, many people prefer not to get involved with organizations, but to look for a personal guru among their friends or on the Internet, chatting on thematic forums, communities or just meeting on Skype. Here you can meet the same dangers - a mentor may turn out to be a manipulator with criminal inclinations or just a person who solves his psychological problems at the expense of other people. For example, he regrets that he divorced his wife and therefore urges others to divorce too. But it’s not really that important whether these people are good or bad. They are a mirror in which a person who wants to change looks. Subconsciously, he analyzes their behavior and seeks his way.

Formulating your own philosophy is the third step. Once interest in like-minded people or gurus is lost, the changes become more and more obvious. For example, protective mechanisms are activated: a person who was previously dependent on the opinions of others is not afraid to break the contact in case of emotional pressure. He learns to mark the boundaries of his personal space and suppresses any invasion of his territory. Or he looks at the world through the prism of a certain emotion - love, compassion or gratitude to the higher powers for every minute lived through. Some people dramatically change the circle of interests, communication - and feel that they have found their place in life. And this tunes in a pacifying way.

note

Over several thousand years, Hinduism and Buddhism have developed certain concepts to denote specific states of consciousness and mental practices. The Indian word shanti means eternal peace and peace, the harmony of man, with the place in which he lives. The related concept of samadhi implies the final stage of meditation, enlightenment, after which a person becomes aware of himself as a harmonious part of the world, and the world as a part of himself.
