Someday you could hear a certain person addressing him - "he is gambling." And for many, the characterization of a person as a gambler does not always cause positive emotions. This is mainly due to the fact that the word "gambling" is often associated with the corresponding games, spending money and the negative consequences of such hobbies. But a gambler is not only one who plays games.

Excitement can be successfully used in everyday life, and gambling people very often quickly achieve their goals. They are willing to take risks more often than ordinary people. All their attention is focused on achieving the desired result.

What is passion

Excitement is a strong emotional state and the ability to enter it when the interest in what is happening is so great that the desire to continue some business is present even when there are serious obstacles to the implementation of the plan.

For gambling people, the desire to get a result is so acute that they will do something until this result is achieved.

Gambling people are sometimes able to not notice what is happening around them, they fully focus on the task and go to the goal, no matter what. Their attention is concentrated only on what is interesting at the moment.

If you start to observe a person who is passionate, for example, solving crossword puzzles, you will notice that at some point he really ceases to notice you and is completely immersed in his favorite business. Excitement actually disconnects a person from reality.

The positive and negative sides of excitement

It is definitely impossible to say that excitement is good or bad. Excitement can be both creative and destructive. Everything will depend on the situation when this emotional state is manifested.

If a person is able to control his actions, even being in excitement, then this gives him the opportunity to achieve the desired goals, move in the right direction and get the desired results.

If control is completely turned off, then the consequences can be unpredictable and sometimes devastating to humans. Uncontrolled excitement is able to prevent a person from understanding whether he is acting correctly in a given situation. Under the influence of excitement, destructive actions can occur.

This, in particular, applies to gambling, when a person who has started to play, under the influence of a state, tries to win a large sum or return a lost one. Moreover, he no longer understands that he is making a mistake, forgets about all his obligations, is ready to spend huge sums of money and even get into debt in order to achieve what he wants. Having returned to reality, the person realizes that he has broken firewood, but the event has already happened, and his excitement played a cruel joke with him.

Therefore, gambling is both a positive and a negative quality. It all depends on how much a person is able to manage it.
