Pay attention to a person’s behavioral reaction. People with schizophrenia become closed, fenced off from the outside world, do not like to be in society. Phrases can be short, harsh, without any information. These people cannot concentrate their thoughts on any particular topic.

Observe not only the behavior of a person, but also how he relates to work, hobbies. This manifests negative symptoms. Patients with schizophrenia are characterized by lack of will, apathy. They have a markedly reduced energy potential, they are non-initiative. Invite him to do something that used to be fun. A person suffering from schizophrenia will aimlessly do the same thing, but will not be able to finish the work or work that has been started, he will simply abandon it for no reason.

If you notice in such a person the presence of hallucinations, delusional fantasies, paranoid symptoms, and note pronounced confusion of speech - this indicates the appearance of secondary signs of schizophrenia. They relate to productive symptoms.

Remember that none of the symptoms individually is sufficient evidence of schizophrenia, as some signs may well accompany other pathological conditions.
