To begin with, remember an important rule, which, perhaps, is not directly related to the development of deduction, but is the key to success in any undertaking. This rule says: Be genuinely interested in what you study. If this interest is superficial and only to impress someone with their help, developing deductive abilities will fail. You must be genuinely interested in learning.

To accustom your brain to deep analysis, make it your rule to dig into the very essence of the material being studied. If you are studying a new subject, do not slide on the surface, but explain to yourself where this or that rule or theoretical construction came from. If your area of activity is far from learning, you can apply this rule to any material you read, including tabloid newspapers. As you read the article, ask yourself the question of what are the motives for the behavior of people, which are described in it, what hidden meaning may lie behind their actions.

Develop thinking flexibility. Remember that any task may have more than one solution, and your task is to find as many of them as possible. When you see only one way out, do not calm down until you find ten more. At first, it will be difficult for you to look for them, but over time, finding several options for any task will be easier and easier for you.

Learn to generalize the information received, to see the general behind the private and vice versa. The ability to see typical features in a particular case is the essence of the deduction method.

It is quite possible to develop deductive abilities, but it is impossible in one or even several days. This is a long and complicated process only for hard-working and interested people.
