The concept of archetype was introduced into the practice of psychoanalysis by the German psychologist Karl Jung. By his definition, the archetype is a universal mythological plot that is found in all world cultures. This behavioral plot is inherent in a certain psychotype and can operate throughout a person’s life; it can be interspersed with local ones played out by him at some period. There may be dozens of them in some sets of archetypes; we will consider four main ones from the esoteric model - Water, Earth, Fire and Air.

If you are trying to get to the bottom of everything, to see the psychological background of human behavior, to determine the patterns that are hidden behind the facade of phenomena, you are a Water Man, an elemental esoteric. A characteristic feature of this archetype is the use of a specific language in colloquial speech, he very much likes to use professional terminology and use such meanings as: “if you understand, ” “in some way”. Water has a sense of elitism, which in low natures is expressed in arrogance and swagger. At a high level, his elitism is interfaced with a sense of responsibility and awareness of the significance of his actions.

Earthman has the motto “I work!”, He can verbally recognize subtle matters, but in reality he believes only in material things. Often, he takes responsibility and looks like the nurse who handed the child. She does not care who his parents are and how he will grow up; her task is to feed and wash him. Man-Earth is more interested in deeds and actions than the laws and reasons that prompted them. He does not like abstract words, his speech is always concrete, he likes to use the words: “which”, “this”. Abstract thinking and perception are completely inaccessible to him, therefore, rethinking, he seeks to specify the incomprehensible and often gives it a completely different meaning, not the one that was originally laid down.

The Fire Man is a prophet, a symbol of his element - a song, this is a trumpet calling for battle. He feels himself to be the bearer of a higher will, realizing the connection between subtle matters and the material world. This archetype is fanatic. Among them are many priests and preachers who take upon themselves the responsibility of transmitting to others the will of the supreme deity. By the nature of its activities, Man Fire resembles a car with a powerful ignition system. If it works, there will be many sound and visual effects, but without a motor (the elements of the Earth) this car will not go anywhere. People of this archetype are not critical at all, especially those belonging to a low level of development.

The motto of the Man of Air can be considered awareness and debriefing, its main genres are reporting and confession. He likes to use global or integral characteristics, in his speech there is no specificity, but there is a claim to wisdom in it. Among them are many journalists, those involved in surveys collect information, accumulate and process it to present it to the authorities and the public.
