Do not think about vacation ahead of time. Yes, it’s already in two weeks, but during this time you need to “clean up the tails”, put things in order and leave to your colleagues who are replacing you with detailed instructions on how to complete the project you started and continue working in your absence.

It is an illusion that without you, such a valuable employee, the whole enterprise will rise. If you were allowed to rest, then the management has considerations on how to compensate for your absence. A common trap into which our own brain lures us is the desire for total control. Accept that some issues will not be solved in the best way, and you will lose the thread of events. You will return to the system with new forces - and you will catch up without loss.

Afford "couch disease". Leaving away from the city and even from the country is a good way to spend your vacation, but you are not obliged to follow the calls to go on a tour in a burning package. If it takes a couple of days to recover, you just have to sit at home calmly, embracing long-forgotten books, films, music, TV shows - you need to afford this luxury.

And still leave! Few things contribute so well to disconnecting from a haggard way of life and tedious everyday life, like a change of scenery. This is an unforgettable feeling when you board a train and it leaves for a distant destination, as if giving a signal to our entire body at the physical and psychological levels: now I'm really on vacation!

Even a simple trip to the country house or a walk through the forest park wonderfully transform us from the inside - in unity with nature we find that inner harmony that the "stone jungle" destroys. If there is no way to go to the sea - just get out to the nearest forest more often.
