A feeling of gratitude arises from one person to another for the service that was provided. Moreover, it is assumed that the latter did not at all count on any kind of material encouragement or reward for his action. In the case when the motive for altruism was the ability to empathize with others or the desire to make a person pleasant, gratitude will be sincere. Gratitude must be expressed, and it is not even necessary for the one who helped you, but first of all for you.

Do not be shy of your feelings and be able to thank people. The word "Thank you" carries a deep innermost meaning, it is formed from the two words "Save God" and expresses the wish of well-being to the one to whom it refers. Speak it as often as possible: to the one who held the door in front of you so that it does not hit you; the one who shook hands when exiting the bus or gave way; to the one who picked up and handed you the dropped item.

Of course, the degree of expression of gratitude can be different, depending on how expensive the help cost to the benefactor. But, since, as we have already said, he does not count on gratitude, thank him as much as you can afford in this situation. Sometimes you only have words, sometimes you can thank them by providing a service and helping this person out in turn.

Words of gratitude are not a trifle. If everything is more or less clear to you and your friends and relatives, and you know that just a kiss and words of gratitude are enough, then believe that they will be quite enough in other cases. The only condition is their timeliness. Speak them immediately, without delay.

This rule applies to the case when you want to thank for the help or congratulations of your colleagues or hospitable hosts who made you a happy holiday. Recently, American psychologists conducted interesting studies, as a result of which it was found that the gratitude expressed in verbal form causes a feeling of satisfaction among both partners and strengthens the trusting relationship between them.
