From childhood, we are punished for the manifestation of negative emotions, encouraging us to be obedient comfortable children. As adults, many of us continue to wear the mask of a good girl, forgetting about our psyche. But our health and quality of life as a whole depend on this.

Shouting, crying, showing discontent to a woman is forbidden back in kindergarten, because "it’s not decent, " "obedient girls don’t behave like that." Even building gloomy faces or defending oneself from a sandbox neighbor is elevated to the rank of indecent behavior. “You're a good girl, stop crying, ” they continue to educate at school. And the girl stops, gradually losing the ability to see her negative emotions. But from the fact that they are no longer distinguished, these emotions do not go anywhere, but are stored in our psyche, eventually forming dangerous deposits.

From the side the woman looks wonderful - she smiles at everyone, affectionately says, does not quarrel with her husband or neighbors. But inside her volcano smolders. The time is not far off when another suppressed negative emotion: anger, resentment, resentment, will become a match in a haystack.

From a once obedient girl, a woman can turn into an evil fury, constantly dissatisfied with everything, or even get a nervous breakdown, when she can not cope without a psychotherapist. It also happens that suppressed emotions first become tensions in certain parts of the body, and then become ailments and illnesses. There is even a special science about this - the psychosomatics of diseases. Sometimes, under the burden of unprotected emotions, a woman can become addicted to alcohol. That’s why it’s dangerous to be a good girl.

You will not please everyone. There will always be people who we will not like. Therefore, it is better to allow yourself to be in a bad mood than to try to please others. You can tell yourself when you need: “yes, I feel pain, disappointment, resentment” and just allow myself to feel it. Crying into a pillow, writing your feelings on a piece of paper and burning it, sharing it with a friend - there are many ways. The main thing is not to hide negative emotions from yourself, but to allow them to be.
