Achieving happiness in this world is not an easy task. It would seem - already grabbed this blue bird by the tail, and it flies away again, dissolves! In fact, the Lord did not create this world for happiness or suffering. He had a different goal. Having understood this issue, you can clearly see how to act in order to be happy in this world of change.
Each of us is a part of God - a soul. The soul cannot be passive, the soul is always active in nature, it wants to act. In addition, the soul always strives for ever-increasing happiness. Since the soul has appeared in the material world and in the material body, obstacles arise for receiving this happiness. And the most serious obstacles to eternal and ever-increasing happiness are the inevitability of suffering associated with the temporality and ignorance of this body.
The body is temporary, and it is obvious that everyone expects birth, disease and death. The soul is trying to realize its nature - the pursuit of happiness in such a body, this in itself is contradictory. However, God did not create this world so that sentient beings suffer. He created it for this purpose - so that the living entity realizes who it is. This understanding can once and for all cut off the ignorance and suffering associated with the temporality of the body. The Lord created this world so that the soul, having tried various sensual pleasures, was firmly convinced that it seeks happiness where it does not exist and, in principle, cannot exist. And realized its main purpose.
As soon as a person realizes himself as a part of God, the question automatically arises: "If I am his part, and he is the most amazing and incomprehensible, then what should I do in this world and in this body, a priori filled with suffering and ignorance?" The purpose of the soul is to serve God. Because God is a complete whole, and I am his part. A particle can be happy and truly satisfied only when the whole is happy and satisfied. To do this, you need to understand what will satisfy the Lord, more about this from the scriptures.
The purpose of the soul is to serve God and all living beings as his particles. Only selfless activity for the satisfaction of God can make a person truly happy.
