Personality needs
First of all, every person comes to the fore biological needs. If they are not satisfied, then other needs are supplanted or lose their significance at a certain point in time. Among biological needs there are three types of instincts that guide the process of human life.
Among the biological needs, the first is the food instinct - the body's need for food, followed by the defensive instinct - the need for man to create conditions for his safety. When hunger is not disturbed and there is no threat to life and health, a person experiences sexual needs - the desire for love, the creation of a family hearth and procreation.
If a person is full, shod, has a roof over his head and feels the love of loved ones, he has a need to satisfy his sense of self-worth. A person wants to achieve a certain level of relationship in communication with people, to realize their abilities and achieve their goals. All these needs can be attributed to social and characterized as the desire of the individual to self-affirmation.
At that stage of life, when a person feels satisfaction from his activities, realizes the importance of his work and receives respect from others, his spiritual needs are manifested. There are philosophical reflections on the meaning of life, its purpose and the need to do something meaningful for society. A person seeks to know the world, himself, as well as spiritual enrichment and new knowledge. The person is in search of his ideals and consciously determines the range of personal interests and hobbies.
