The table of relations in socionics is a field measuring 16 by 16 cells. The rows and columns of the table indicate socionic types. There are 16 socionic types in socionics; therefore, the size of the table is corresponding. Inside the table, the nature of the relationship that representatives of different socionic types enter into with each other is indicated.

A person with one socionic type can have only 16 types of socionic relations: 15 types of relations with representatives of other sociotypes, as well as 1 type of relations with representatives of their type.

In socionics, it is believed that a representative of one or another socionic type has the best relations with representatives of his own socionic quadra. Such relationships include:

  • Dual relationship. The most favorable, from the point of view of socionics, relations.
  • Activation Relations.
  • Mirror Relations.
  • Identical. Develop with representatives of their sociotype.

The following variants of socionic relations are formed with representatives of the remaining quadras in the carrier of a certain socionic type:

  • Audit Relationships. From the point of view of socionics, this is one of the most unfavorable types of relationships, because they are obviously unequal. In such relationships, one person inevitably “presses” on another person’s weaknesses with his strengths. Audit relationships are of two types: the first type is when a person enters into a relationship from a strong position; the second type - when in these same respects a person is in a weak position.
  • Relationship order. As well as audit relationships, they are not equal. But in the relationship of the order, the inequality is not so pronounced. Order relationships, like audit relationships, can be of two types.
  • Business relationship. A good option for collaboration.
  • Mirage relationship.
  • Superego Relationship. In such relationships, partners have something to learn from each other.
  • Complete opposite. Not a very favorable type of relationship, because in this case, people speak as if in different languages, cannot find common ground with each other.
  • Quasi-identity. In these relationships, partners usually understand each other well.
  • Conflict relationship. In such relationships, people with equal success press their strengths on the partner's weaknesses.
  • Kinship relationship.
  • Semi-dual relationship.

To find out the type of relationship with a partner, you need to know your sociotype, the sociotype of the partner. And then use the relationship table.

It must be remembered that relationships between people are a complex process. A lot of factors influence whether they develop or not. Socionic types of partners are just one such factor. You should not choose a partner for living together or friendship, based on the table of relations in socionics. In life, it happens that “good” socionic relationships break up quickly with scandals, and “bad” ones turn out to be very strong and productive.
