Wendy's syndrome affects a considerable number of women of different ages. Symptoms can be either very bright or blurry, worsening under the influence of internal or external factors. Where does this syndrome come from, what causes it? And what can the condition lead to if you do not try to correct it?
Despite the fact that Wendy's syndrome does not fall into the list of mental pathologies, this condition requires correction. Deformation of character and personality can be so strong that a woman simply will not be able to exist and build relationships, raise children, work. In addition, if you ignore all the manifestations of the condition and try to get along with it, in the end, the syndrome can lead to already serious consequences for the psyche and nervous system.
Why does Wendy's syndrome develop in women
Specialists are inclined to single out two reasons for which such a violation is formed:
- toxic education;
- third-party exposure.
In the framework of toxic education, which leads to the development of Wendy's syndrome, the following points are usually present:
- hypercontrol by mother and father;
- deprivation of personal space; even if the girl has a separate room, she, as a rule, does not feel like a mistress in her, is constantly in tension from the fact that her parents can come in at any time, start rummaging through her things, rearranging or cleaning, and so on; especially painfully similar can be experienced in adolescence;
- constant criticism coming from eternally displeased parents;
- upbringing in the style of "hedgehogs": no indulgences, no praise, a ban on the manifestation of feelings and emotions;
- lack of tactile contact with the child; it is not customary in the family to embrace, kiss, or express their sympathy in any other way;
- frequent punishment, including corporal punishment, public humiliation of the child; parents form both anxiety and internal fears, choosing this method of education;
- comparing the child with other children, while not in favor of the child himself;
- the formation of the attitude that the child is not worthy of love, care, support and attention;
- any kind of cruelty, both moral and physical;
- "breaking" the personality and character of the child in a way that would be convenient for mom and dad; the girl, from whom the Wendy woman later grows up, is not considered at home / regarded as a person, her words, actions, demands, her opinion are not taken seriously - nothing for parents.
By external influence, which is the cause of the formation of a pathological nature, is meant the influence of people around. Criticism and negative attitude from teachers in kindergarten or teachers at school, excessive demands from relatives, bullying or simply complicated relationships with classmates, lack of friends, communication problems in reality or on the Internet - all this can lead to personality deformation and cause Wendy's syndrome.
