Nerve tick is a disease caused by a malfunction of the nervous system. It is an involuntary twitching of parts of the body. In most cases, it is the result of intense psychological stress.
Unfortunately, this disease is incurable. There are periods of remission, when the patient practically does not experience tic, and periods of exacerbation, when the disease returns.
Usually, this disorder manifests itself in adolescence under 18 years. Nervous tick can manifest itself in different ways. In some cases, we can talk about the emergence of Tourette's syndrome, which is a whole complex of complex ticks, which are accompanied by various sounds and strange noises.
People who have this ailment say that at first tension arises in the body, which is involuntarily obtained in such a way. Why does a disorder such as a nervous tick occur:
- the result of exposure to infection;
- reaction to the intake of psychotropic substances in childhood;
- great emotional and psychological stress.
Often a nervous tic occurs in adolescents who have imperious parents. They constantly feel that they are being watched, afraid to make a mistake, upsetting or angry with them. In adulthood, the disease can be complicated by severe depression and obscene behavior. Treatment is carried out both medically and through work with a psychologist.
