It is very difficult for a person to assimilate information, to reproduce it if he has a low concentration of attention. He is not able to focus on anything.

For elementary school children, this is normal. In adults, this often happens in case of fatigue, after a long and monotonous work, illness.

If a person is preoccupied with some problem, then he fully devotes his attention to it and thereby becomes inattentive to other things happening around him.

But often the patient, trying to gather his thoughts, makes it even worse. He quickly gets tired and is not far from exhaustion. Students before exams are a good example of this. All the night they cram tickets until they understand that it’s useless to learn further, since it’s not possible to concentrate on the material being studied at all.

Chronic carelessness should be identified as soon as possible. This will help a simple conversation with a specialist or in the form of various tests. It is important to be able to distinguish between ordinary distraction and mental illness.

There is a special test that is performed when a low concentration of attention is detected. This is a Bourdon test. It is also called a proof test. It can be used for both adults and children. The more accurately a person copes with the task in the test, the better his situation with concentration.

Proper nutrition, rest, walks in nature, aromatherapy will help to combat poor concentration. To a large extent, meditation and a number of other special exercises help to develop attention.
