Scientists in many countries have struggled for centuries on how to compare and measure the intelligence of different people. As a result, several groups of tests for iq measurement appeared: Eysenck tests, Armthauer tests.
The most popular tests for measuring intelligence are considered tests developed by Hans Eisenck. They are a series of tasks that can be solved using various types of intelligence. Our thinking is multidimensional; several types of intelligence can be distinguished in it. Each time, carrying out complex work, we use several of its types: spatial thinking, logical, visual-figurative, linguistic, etc. Based on the test results, the intelligence coefficient (iq, which is pronounced as "akyu" or "aykyu") is calculated.

How to test yourself
It must be remembered that one-time testing does not give the correct result. A lot of factors influence the functions of the intellect: your mood, the presence or absence of stress, the degree of vigor, or the desire to sleep. Ideally, you need to measure iq when you are not pressured by an urgent need to do something, when you have a “normal” mood for you, when there are no strong emotions or pronounced stress.
Repeated testing
The creators of intelligence tests recommend taking multiple iq measurements. It is believed that at least 8-10 tests are needed, the results of which are summarized and divided by the number of tests. Thus, the average IQ is calculated. Multiple tests help to avoid errors in the measurement of intelligence that arise due to fatigue, overweight, bad mood and other factors.
What do the numbers in iq tests mean
Hans Eisenck called the average intelligence at 100 points. This iq allows you to do a good job with the work of a lower manager, salon administrator, seller. It is believed that 100 points may not be enough to get a higher education: it is difficult for a person with an average and lower than average intelligence to understand many institute and university disciplines, examinations for which are required to obtain a diploma.
For admission to a university that provides practical knowledge, 115-120 points are usually required. In order to be able to go to university and graduate, you need at least 125-130 points. A university diploma is usually awarded to students whose iq is above 140 points.
As for the values below the average, scientists are still arguing about the numbers. Some people think that people with aikyu of less than 80 points can already classify themselves as mentally retarded. Others believe that the divide between pathologically low and normal intelligence is 60 points.
