Modern life is very fast. People have learned to live much faster than before. Many are confident that in order to achieve a certain success, you need to learn how to accelerate, exist and work in a certain rhythm. Experts believe that modern society lives in a constant hurry, and every year the speed of life increases.

In recent years, specialists working with psychological problems say that a person needs to slow down.

What is slow life

There is a movement in the world called Slow Life or Slow Life. This movement originated in Italy, in the last century. This happened when American fast food restaurants began to appear in the country, displacing not only national food, but also destroying the local food consumption culture.

According to Italians, food is not only a quick snack and a momentary satisfying of hunger. But it’s also a kind of ritual when the whole family gathers at one table and leads leisurely conversations about life.

The Slow Food (Slow Food) movement was organized by journalist Carlo Petrini. This movement later developed into a larger movement called Slow Life. It has a number of basic principles:

  1. if you don’t rush, you will keep up with everything;

  2. Before an important matter, always take a timeout;

  3. during work, look at the watch as little as possible, and at the weekend - forget about the watch;

  4. don't worry about anything;

  5. eat only local food;

  6. read, talk slowly, pondering every detail and every thought;

  7. take your time when you do any work;

  8. work should always be pleasing and inspiring, not exhausting;

  9. learn to enjoy the process, not the result;

  10. say no to everything that makes you stick to a fast life;

  11. communicate with people in real life, not by phone or computer;

  12. Stay calm in any situation.

The association "Slow Food" includes more than one hundred and fifty countries of the world. Today, the organization advises European countries on industrial policy, agriculture, farming and fisheries.
