Sometimes it happens that past grievances poison people's lives. Time certainly heals, but pain and resentment can be worn in your heart for years if you cannot get rid of them right away.

Instruction manual

one

Stop reflecting, at least for a while. Self-digging, constant attempts to ponder your behavior, memories of your insult, pondering what you could do in response, but didn’t - it makes you focus on the situation and creates a vicious circle from which it is difficult to escape. Release the situation.

2

Focus on the present. Think not about what happened, but about what is. Try to tune in to the positive: when the insult inflicted on you comes to mind, block it with pleasant memories.

3

If you can’t get rid of obsessive thoughts about the insult you have suffered, try looking at the situation from the side. Scroll through the most important points in your head, remember how and under what circumstances an unpleasant situation occurred. Do not try to force yourself to remember - the memory itself will tell you what exactly torments you the most. After reconstructing the situation, consider it. Think about the fact that it has already passed, that life goes on, and past resentment no longer matters much to you. If you no longer communicate with the abuser, think about the fact that he is no longer in your life.

4

Try another effective method of getting rid of past grievances - crowding out pain from the heart. Make sure that no one distracts you: turn off your phone and be alone. Sit, relax, close your eyes. Imagine that the insult inflicted on you sits in your heart and does not give you rest. Do not concentrate on it, do not force yourself to relive everything anew. Imagine a light breeze touching you, blowing bad memories from your heart. Let the resentment and pain go away, do not hold them. Switch to pleasant memories, think about what is good in your life now. Take your time. Believe me, after this exercise you will probably feel easier and freer to breathe.

If no method works, try contacting a psychologist. He will analyze the current situation and tell you the way out.
