Traditionally, any solemn feast, banquet or buffet - whether it is a celebration of a significant event or just friendly gatherings - involves the use of alcohol. But, unfortunately, not everyone knows how to drink. And in order not to commit acts of alcohol intoxication, the payment for which there is a guilty feeling of guilt after sobering up the body, you need to be able to stop in time in the amount drunk. How to do it?

Knowing of limits. Why is it not familiar to everyone

The German and American psychologist of the 20th century, Kurt Levin, an outstanding and very creative person, was extremely interested in the question: why do people in their many actions not know the measure? Why do athletes drive themselves to exhaustion, having already received the coveted medal, why many can not get rid of constant overeating, smoking, alcoholism? The result of the research was the discovery of the mechanism of unfinished business. The main idea of this theory is that a person cannot stop doing anything (including drinking) because he perceives this action as incomplete. This feeling creates a huge mental stress inside a person and causes pseudo-needs.

In other words, a person has consumed a certain amount of alcohol, sufficient to feel a slight intoxication, and should stop there. But the feast involves many provoking factors that prevent a person from doing this: for example, when several more bottles of wine appeared on the table or friends offer a toast to a particularly respected comrade. And if the use of alcohol is not considered a completed action, then the logical end of the turbulent libation will be a strong intoxication with all the ensuing consequences. Excited by an unfinished situation, the brain will not allow a person to calm down.
