It is easy enough to convict a person who is lying to lie. Insincerity becomes apparent as soon as you begin to ask specific questions, go into details: a liar’s breathing often quickens because of adrenaline, his voice changes, his motor movements become unnatural. Observation will help to clarify and determine whether it is worth dealing with such a person as a business partner, employee or life partner. What signs indicate a lie?
Verbal symptoms
As a rule, a liar needs something from you. The need to lie causes unconscious stress in a person. If the topic of conversation directly concerns both interlocutors, specific questions should not cause irritation to the respondent. This, of course, does not apply to the situation in which you "stick your nose into other people's affairs", show curiosity about someone else's personal space. What should alert the speech of a person who is lying to you?
- evasive answers to direct questions;
- unwillingness to discuss the details of a topic or case;
- answers questions to questions;
- phrases: "It doesn’t matter", "Why do you need this?" and similar excuses;
- flood, a stream of unnecessary information and discussions on extraneous topics instead of a concrete answer to a simple question;
- emotional reactions and responses in which latent or overt irritation is felt;
- Freud clauses.
Physiological signs
If a person is lying, this affects his physiological state. What physiological reactions are characteristic of a lying person?
- Often a person who is telling a lie dries up in his mouth, in connection with this he will unconsciously touch his throat, lips, face, swallow, grab a glass of water.
- The liar often blushes, feeling guilty and internal shame. If he is afraid of being exposed, he may be covered by unnatural pallor.
- Breathing while voicing false information can become more frequent, deeper, and before answering a person will frantically seek to draw more air into his lungs.
- In response to a question, a liar can often blink, which indicates a state of stress and feverish selection of answers that are more or less similar to the truth.
- In men, Adam's apple can move convulsively in the process of lying, and the neck muscles are tense and this can be seen with the naked eye.
- The fact that a liar is in front of you can be evidenced by a sharp sweating, a person can be "thrown into a sweat."
