Breathing symbolizes a person’s contact with the world. Inhale - you take from the world, exhale - give it to him. Ideally, breathing should be even and calm: a deep breath, a slow exhale. This indicates a harmonious personality. Growing up, the child learns to restrain inappropriate feelings and emotions, overgrows with emotional clamps and blocks, as evidenced by shallow breathing in adulthood.

Proper breathing is one of the components of a healthy mind and body. Observe how very young children breathe: when they breathe, their stomach works, it is rounded on inhalation and blown off on exhalation. An adult often breathes with a breast. This is due to the characteristics of the psyche at different ages.

Psychologists use this knowledge to understand what problems a client has. For example, if a person himself, without realizing it, inhales and holds his breath out, or, on the contrary, “does not want” to inhale, he will necessarily be diagnosed with personality problems in communicating with people and himself.

If a person breathes smoothly and calmly, his muscles are relaxed, the vessels are moderately dilated, pressure is normal, sleep is good, physiological processes in the body proceed freely. Such a person is healthy and happy.

Another thing is breathing wrong. The body lacks oxygen, the vessels are pinched, a person may experience dizziness, cardiovascular system disorders, hair loss, tremors, insomnia and many other consequences.

As the breath is reflected in our body, so the processes in the body are reflected on it. Thus, through breathing, we can influence our physiology.

I want to offer you a simple breathing technique that will calm your mind and body. Take a comfortable position in silence while sitting or lying down. It is better if no one is around, so as not to bother you. Close your eyes and mentally walk through your body with your inner gaze. Take a slow deep breath with your nose and exhale as slowly through your lips - a tube. Try to exhale longer than the inhalation. Observe how air passes through your nostrils and fills your chest. Now consciously direct this air into the stomach. For convenience, put your hand in there: when you inhale, your stomach should round like a ball, when you exhale, deflate. All your attention should be focused on the sensations in the body and inhale - exhale.

Thus, breathe 10-15 minutes. During this time, the body will relax, the mind will calm down, you will be freed from unnecessary thoughts and you will feel a surge of strength. Practice this method every day and soon you will notice that you have become much calmer, your reactions in stressful situations will become less stormy.

Inhale joy, exhale good and be healthy.
