Human fears fall into two categories: healthy fears, which are inherent in all people without exception, and phobias that acquire a pathological character, objectively interfere and even threaten a person’s life. Recognize these fears in yourself and start fighting them now.

Instruction manual

one

If your fear comes from childhood and is associated with mystical characters, then you first need to deal with them, as they leave a negative imprint on your entire adult life. You must realize that the fear of the dark or spirits has nothing to do with reality, it is just a figment of your imagination. It’s like an inflating bubble, inside of which there is nothing. Understand that it is you who inflate it and stop doing it.

2

Repeat your name. This will help you return to reality, enable analysis and feel confident in space. Also, the name you repeat will return you to childhood, when you were most often called by your name and when you were most protected.

3

Do not close your eyes, but rather - open them as wide as possible, look around, examine the objects that surround you, name them. You will notice that this strange shadow in the corner is by no means a strange creature, but only a wooden cabinet.

4

If you are afraid of some upcoming events, then most likely you are increasing their scale. Afraid of losing a loved one, speaking at work, or failing an exam? Think calmly if there are objective reasons to be afraid. Use paper; write arguments for fear. You will clearly see how small and funny they are.

5

Since fear at the very beginning has not such bright forms, learn to stop in time. Literally say to yourself: “Stop it.” It is the regular spinning of fear in the head, the search for new sides that thickens the colors so much that you already begin to forget how you lived without this fear. Therefore, in time, analyze the situation and stop thinking about it.

6

The breathing technique helps to cope with fear, especially in difficult cases, for example, during natural disasters or in criminal situations. Take a deep breath and slow exhale at least 10 times. This will help you calm down, gather strength and thoughts.

7

The method of bringing fear to the limit is quite difficult, but more often it helps to defeat all phobias. There are cases when people consciously plunged into their fear and brought it to the point at which they were mentally able to survive their own death. This technique is especially common in Zen teaching.

If you are not confident in your abilities, consult a good psychotherapist who can help you get rid of fear with fear or put you in a state of hypnosis, which even in the most difficult cases helps to solve the problem of phobias.
