Each of us is familiar with the situation when you need to work, but you still can’t force yourself. As a result, complex or lengthy work is always postponed to the last moment.

This phenomenon is so widespread that it even got a special name - procrastination. In sounding, this term is somewhat reminiscent of a "Procrustean bed." And, probably, it is no coincidence, because putting off work at the last moment, we push ourselves into a tight framework, when you still have to do unloved work, only in a very short time, which will complicate any already difficult task. What to do to learn to cope with your own laziness?

In general, laziness is not a completely correct definition. Laziness is when you do not want to do anything at all. But if you would now be happy to, for example, go for a run or solve a puzzle, but you just don’t want to work, it’s not laziness, but an unwillingness to do a specific job or activity. Then you don’t have to look for excuses, try to be honest with yourself in order to understand why you don’t want to do this or that job.

Usually there can be several reasons and the "treatment of laziness" directly depends on the correct identification of such causes. To begin with, it’s worth trying to determine the frequency of your “laziness” attacks, then it will become clear what to do next.

"I do not want always." This group includes the implementation of such activities that caused you to have an acute attack of irritation since school times. If this is characteristic of your main job, you may have chosen it under the pressure of your parents or life circumstances. If you hate Sunday evening because tomorrow is Monday, the work needs to be changed urgently. In the meantime, pick up something in the field of activity adjacent to the desired one or get the necessary education, skills in parallel with the main job. The idea that work helps you pay for what you are really interested in will no longer allow you to hate it with the same strength.

"I don't want just that." You actually love your job. But it’s just to this client that you simply hate going to negotiations. Think about the reason for this dislike. Perhaps you just do not manage to interact effectively with this client from time to time? Remember that difficult situations increase our professionalism. Look at the situation as an opportunity to become a better specialist.

"I do not want sometimes." This is a completely normal situation, which is simply worth the wait. Tomorrow you will be again enthusiastic. If “laziness” attacks happen infrequently to you, but regularly think about what, after which laziness usually overtakes you. This could be a meeting spree or a hectic weekend. Having learned the reason, you can change its effect.

"I want but I can not". Sometimes, under the “I can’t” hiding is again the unwillingness to do the work. Because we all know that traffic jams, a dead mobile battery, and inappropriate weather are problems that can be overcome. But if in fact there is a "can not", for example, due to health reasons, there is no need to blame yourself. Set your priorities and wait for the circumstances when you will be able to do work again.
