Burr - means pronouncing incorrectly or not pronouncing the letter "p". Often children have problems with the pronunciation of certain letters, but with age this issue is solved by itself or with the help of a speech therapist. However, some in adulthood have the wrong pronunciation. This is especially true of the letter "p", as one of the most difficult in the Russian alphabet. Fortunately, exercise and perseverance can fix this small flaw.

Instruction manual

one

Many people who do not pronounce the letter "p" do not worry about this. But there are those who strive for excellence in everything, including their own speech. If you are one of them, turn to a good speech therapist - a specialist who works with speech disorders. It will help you to correct shortcomings in pronunciation in a short time, of course, if you have the due diligence in your part.

2

If you do not have enough free time to visit a speech therapist or prefer independent classes, you can well help yourself by performing a simple set of exercises. These exercises develop the speech apparatus, muscles of the lips and tongue, and develop the necessary pronunciation skills. They can be found in speech therapy textbooks and on the Internet.

3

Here are the basic exercises to correct the letter p. Smile alternately and pull your lips into the tube, while you can say "and - y." Do this a few times. Open your mouth, lower the tip of your tongue to the lower palate, then lift it to the upper one (this exercise is called "Swing"). Make such movements with your tongue from side to side, as if you were brushing your teeth. With your mouth open, raise the tip of your tongue to the upper palate and hold for a few seconds (“Shovel”). Fungus: Let your tongue stick to the upper sky. Click your tongue across the upper palate (exercise "Horse"). Hug your upper lip with your tongue, as if licking a delicious jam. Imagine blowing cotton wool off your nose.

4

Practice vibration and growl. Open your mouth and tap the tip of the tongue on the tubercles near the upper teeth, while saying "d-d-d …". Gradually translate into "drrrrr …". Imagine starting the engine: "trrrrrr …". In this case, the consonants "t" or "d" before the letter "p" are auxiliary, because it is often difficult to start growling right away. As you train, you can do without this.

5

When the growl “dr” and “tr” are good enough for you, but the letter “r” is not pronounced yet, start reading sentences and poems where there is a combination of the sounds “tr” or “dr”, for example: sailors, tram, friends yeast. Then go on to verses where there is a letter "p" in combination with various others. You can read and prose. Do not forget to do it every day, because the most important thing here is perseverance and desire. The psychological attitude is very important. Remember how someone pronounces the letter "p" and imagine that you pronounce it as well. Then you will reflexively try to repeat the same movements of the speech apparatus, and this is much more effective than simply mechanically performing the exercises.

6

Practice tongue twisters with the letter "r", for example: "Grass in the yard, firewood in the grass", "Three crows on the gate, three magpies on the doorstep", etc.
