To believe in God or to be an atheist is a personal matter for every person. They come to sincere faith with their own mind, on the basis of their own life experience. She should not be blind, reckless, and even more fanatical. A true believer is alien to fanaticism, but at the same time he is firm in convictions and strictly observes religious canons. In life, doubts, trials, even disappointments await him at every step. How can he be sure of his faith? For example, how can an Orthodox Christian be firm in his religious convictions.

Of course, you need to read the Bible more often. This holy book for a Christian should be your "guiding light". It should be read slowly, carefully, asking God to give strength and patience in order to understand its meaning. The commandments of Christ should become not only the essence, but also the meaning of the life of a truly believing person, and their fulfillment - a conscious and free deed, delivering sincere joy and peace of mind.

You need to pray every day. After all, prayer is a mental communication with God. Turning to him, a person, as it were, renounces the shortcomings and bustle of the world. During sincere prayer, a Christian, as it were, faces God and can communicate with him, asking him to affirm him in the faith and be worthy of the Kingdom of God.

In the Christian religion (unlike Islam, for example) there is no clear indication of how many times a day you need to pray. Here everyone decides for himself, proceeding from both the degree of his religiosity and his state of health. Of course, even in such a holy deed, extremes bordering on fanaticism are harmful. Remember the malicious, but fair saying: "Make a fool pray to God - he will break his forehead!"

Visit the church regularly. One often hears such reasoning: "True faith lives in the heart of man, and the church is just a building!" Nevertheless, it is necessary to go to the temple of God. There are at least three reasons for this. First, the church is a sanctified place specially designed for fellowship with God. It is in her that it is best to worship Him. Secondly, in the church, a Christian meets brothers and sisters by faith. Thirdly, it is always useful to listen to the sermons of the Word of God, this will once again strengthen faith.

5

Be the vehicle of faith. This means that a Christian, both at work and in everyday life, should set an example of keeping the commandments, treating his neighbor with love and patience. If, of course, without any coercion, threats, you succeed in “leading to Christ” any of the atheists, or people who profess a different religion, then this will be another proof of the firmness of your faith.
