Contact the public. Universal appeals in this case are “ladies and gentlemen”, “dear viewers”, “dear friends”, etc., depending on the context. Musicians can use the name of the city or institution in which they perform. Scientists turn to students according to their position. It is important to maintain a sincere smile and a desire to share important information for listeners.

Say hello and introduce yourself. There is no universal formulation here, just as there are no two identical speeches. In any case, you can name your name without undue pathos and theatricality, but musicians should invent a chip, a small motive by which they will be recognized always and everywhere. Such a chip needs to be rehearsed in advance so that no breakdown occurs at the time of the performance.

Talk a little about abstract topics. If you are not the first to speak, praise the previous speakers or musicians, expressing solidarity with them on some issues. At the same time, after a few seconds, emphasize your difference from them. Describe how your presentation will stand out from the rest. Indicate the name of your work (for musicians) or the topic of the report (for scientists)

Say the first words from the report or start the performance of the first song. Be relaxed, radiate self-confidence. Do not be afraid of mistakes, hesitations, conspiracies: all this will be necessary, but if you do not begin to focus on your own flaws, almost no one will hear or perceive them.
