Instruction manual

one

Set clearly defined deadlines by which you can use your computer. If you use it at work, then at home on weekdays, try not to include it at all. If your activity is not connected with a computer, then you can set aside 2 hours a day for using the Internet. Carefully monitor yourself and do not get out of the established schedule.

2

Take a break. Get a membership to a fitness club, pool or sports section. If you are attracted to spiritual development, turn your attention to yoga and other practices. Fill the time usually spent at the monitor with meaning. You can register in the library. This, firstly, will greatly expand your horizons, and, secondly, it will allow you to get acquainted with the necessary information.

3

Pay more attention to communication. Instead of sitting at a computer, arrange a meeting with friends. Call friends you haven’t chatted with for a long time. Pay more attention to your soulmate and loved ones. If your social circle is narrow, then expand it. Find new friends. To do this, you can visit some kind of interest club. Go to the entertainment center, bowling or billiards.

4

Try to discover something new. Pay attention to those things that previously did not matter much to you. You may have noticed some talent in yourself, but you never had time to realize it.

5

If computer addiction is related to games, then think what they give you. Consider whether you are justifiably wasting your time, what else could you spend it on and what would give you no less pleasure.

6

Change your attitude towards the computer. Do not regard it as a toy, but use it exclusively for pragmatic purposes: find out the weather, see the exchange rate, write a report, etc.

7

Consult a psychologist. An experienced specialist will help you understand yourself and it will be easier to cope with your addiction.

note

Computer addiction can adversely affect the quality of your real life.
