Get ready for the performance. Learn your text well, make a story plan, prepare additional visual materials that you will need for demonstration. If using equipment such as a projector, test it.

See more information on the topic of your speech. You may need it when students begin to ask questions. Try to predict in advance what people can ask you and prepare answers.

Take it easy. Excitement can prevent even the most trained storyteller from speaking. Use visualization techniques. For example, imagine yourself a wise expert who educates other people. Grab the attention of the audience. Begin your presentation by updating the issues that you intend to cover. Show that the topic of your report is really important, and people will listen to you.

Take a break. Break a large block of information into several paragraphs. It will be tiring for people to immediately listen to a huge lecture. If the format of your presentation allows this, alternate the lectures with some other parts of the presentation, for example, watching videos or answering public questions. Ask questions. This will create an effect of audience engagement. If the format of your speech does not involve active communication with the public, ask rhetorical questions.
