The habit of putting things off for later is called procrastination, respectively, of the people who got it - procrastinators. If you don’t like deadlines, you never have time to do what you planned, write reports and materials for the last night — that means you belong to such people. No, you are not a lazy person, but you are ready to do anything, but you didn’t do it important and not right now.

How do people who like to put things off for later think?

Such a person is convinced that he will do everything much better and faster if he is not limited by the time frame.

He wants to show his authority. Instead of passing the work on Thursday, he would prefer to bring it on Friday.

Chooses a momentary desire, instead of long-term benefit. For example, he would rather go watch a comedy than start preparing for the upcoming conference.

Afraid of beginnings. He will not write a blog, as he will think that he will be laughed at or negatively evaluated. The procrastinator is so unprepared for difficulties that it is better to bypass the matter than to start with a simple one. For example, it will read other people's blogs.

Thus, the procrastinator, as it were, postpones the negative for later. If everything is fine today, then you can mess around, and reprimand is tomorrow.

How to solve the problem?

Write a list of important things to do. Applications on the phone can easily cope with this task. Just drive all the cases into the lists, and then send the most important ones to the leading positions. If there are too many urgent matters, stop at three. It is better to qualitatively perform several primary tasks.

Just get started. Tell yourself that you will only work 10 minutes, even if there is absolutely no desire. After the allotted time, interrupt for 2 minutes. Drink coffee, reply to messages. Then, get back to work. After that, take such a break again. Of course this is not a highly effective approach, but to begin with it is quite acceptable. An hour later you will notice that you have done not so little.

Choose the perfect time for yourself. Someone goes to bed in the evening, and someone likes to work at night. Everyone has their "perfect time." Define it for yourself and get down to business. Execution efficiency will surprise you.

The phone will help you. If you have a case for which you can’t do anything, set aside a date for it. Mark it on the calendar and on the appointed day only deal with it. Set deadlines and minidlines. Thus, it will be easier for you to control your work.
